Before Words is a visual assemblage combining hand-painted paper, gestural marks, abstract symbols and fragmented graphic elements.

The composition moves between painting and writing. Bold black gestures interact with ochre and orange fields, while dense sequences of hand-drawn marks suggest an invented alphabet or a language still in the process of being formed.

Rather than communicating through recognizable words, the work investigates the expressive potential of the mark itself. Shapes approach letters without becoming readable; repeated signs suggest information without revealing a fixed message.

Through layering, fragmentation and reconstruction, Before Words explores a territory where gesture precedes meaning and visual instinct becomes a primitive form of communication.
