In In Motion Still, movement is not represented: it happens directly on the surface.

The composition develops as a vertical, irregular surge, where deep greens, blues, yellows and blacks gather across the upper and central areas of the work. Brushstrokes intertwine, overlap and seem to pull one another forward, creating a constant tension between progression and restraint.

White, especially in the lower section, opens a space of suspension. Here, the gesture appears to slow down, almost coming to a halt, without ever losing its energy. The fluorescent yellow mark on the right breaks the balance with a sharp, instinctive trajectory, cutting through the silence and reactivating the entire composition.

The title exists precisely within this contradiction. In Motion Still is movement and stillness at the same time, restrained energy, suspended tension.

It is not a still image. It is movement that has chosen to remain.
