A face that feels recognizable and yet impossible to define. In Alter Ego, identity fragments, overlaps and changes shape. Colour takes over the figure, transforming the head into an inner territory made of thoughts, memories, impulses and contradictions.

At its centre, a form resembling an eye, a lens or a screen emerges: a point of observation looking outward and inward at the same time. The dark, compact body appears instead to contain that complexity.

The work does not simply portray an “other self.” It questions the very idea of a single, stable and definitive identity.

Perhaps there is no single authentic face. Perhaps we are also all the versions of ourselves that continue to change, disappear and resurface.
